Request a ride: Open the Uber or Lyft app and request a ride.

Find the pickup area: Follow signs for the rideshare pickup areas. At Terminal 4, there are pickup locations for both the North and South exits.

Confirm your location: The app will provide directions to the pickup door location, which may not be at the nearest exit.

Verify your ride: Before getting in, check the app to confirm your driver's name, license plate, and car color. If you can't find your driver, contact them through the app.

Rideshare fares can vary widely depending on the time of day and other conditions. Some say that Uber and Lyft can be a better value than a taxi, depending on your destination and when you're traveling.

A free shuttle runs 24 hours a day from the baggage claim levels of each terminal to the rental car center. The Sky Train stops every 3–5 minutes.

Many car rental companies are located in the rental car center, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty.

To rent a car, you must be a licensed driver and have a valid credit card. Some agencies have a minimum driver age of 25. You may also need an International Driver's Permit, a professional translation of your home country license, or other documentation.
